WildWise The mission of WildWise is to build lasting community and connection to the natural world.

We provide dynamic experiences for children and adults to learn valuable life skills, build strength of character, and value diversity of culture. Wild Wise is a place to become the hero within, and live the adventure!IMG_6676
Wild Wise is made up of six unique, but interconnected Guilds, which are embodied within the Mark of Wild Wise, our logo. Each guild learns responsibility to serve and prote

ct their realm through service work in their communities. Students are encouraged to pick a primary Guild of focus, but are free to participate in any Guild they wish, and earn Marks of Achievement in any of the core skills each offers.

RangersQuest registration closes tomorrow, August 11.

August 16-22, our Rangers head into the Olympic Mountains for a week of backpacking, wilderness skills, campfires, challenge, laughter, and learning what they can do when they carry what they need and rely on one another.

A few spaces remain. This is the last chance to join us this year.

🌲 Calling More Girls to Ranger’s Quest!

We are especially encouraging girls ages 9–12 to join us for Ranger’s Quest this summer!

Backcountry experiences can be incredibly powerful for girls at this age. Away from the pressures and expectations of everyday life, girls get to experience their bodies for what they can do: carry a pack, navigate a trail, learn wilderness skills, meet challenges, help their group, and discover, “I am capable.”

Ranger’s Quest is a 7-day wilderness introduction to backpacking adventure filled with bushcraft, orienteering, edible and medicinal plants, games, stories, council, teamwork, leadership, and plenty of wild adventure.

August 16–22, 2026
Ages 9–12 • All genders welcome
Wilderness backpacking

Girls belong in the backcountry. We’d love to see more girls step onto the trail, find their courage, build strong friendships, and discover just how much they can do.

Come join the Quest!

Three camps. One unforgettable week.

Yesterday we wrapped up WoodSprites, Ranger Adventure, and Hunger Games, and what a week it was.

The forest was full of laughter, muddy boots, scraped knees, campfires, challenges, friendships, and kids discovering they could do things they didn’t think they were capable of. We watched quiet kids find their voice, natural leaders step up, and strangers become a tribe by the end of the week.

That’s why we do this.

WildWise has never been about keeping children entertained. It’s about giving them real experiences that build confidence, resilience, curiosity, practical skills, and a relationship with the natural world that stays with them long after camp is over.

To every family who trusted us with your children, thank you. To our staff who gave everything they had this week, thank you. And to every camper who showed up ready to explore, learn, and grow, you made this week one we’ll remember for a long time.

Summer camp may be over, but the adventure doesn’t end here.

Our school year programs begin soon, bringing together nature immersion, academics, wilderness skills, mentorship, and hands-on learning in a way that helps children discover what they’re truly capable of. If you’ve been thinking about joining the WildWise community, we’d love to have you walk the trail with us.

Adventure has a way of changing how young people see themselves.

A trail doesn't care what your grades are, how athletic you are, or whether you've ever carried a backpack before. It simply asks you to take the next step. Along the way, confidence grows. Friendships form. Challenges that once seemed impossible become part of the story.

Mountain Adventure isn't about reaching a summit. It's about discovering what you're capable of before you get there.

We still have a few adventures left this summer, and enrollment is already open for our 2026-27 programs. If your family has been looking for something different, we'd love to have you join us.

Most classrooms have walls.

Ours has towering cedars, birdsong, muddy boots, questions that don't have answers in the back of a textbook, and mentors who know that curiosity grows best when children are free to explore.

Since 2013, WildWise has been helping young people build confidence, practical skills, meaningful friendships, and a lasting connection to the natural world through adventure, experiential learning, and community.

We still have a few summer adventures ahead of us, and we're already welcoming families into our 2026-27 programs.

If you've wondered what a different kind of education can look like, spend a few minutes exploring www.wildwiseschool.org. If it feels like the right fit for your family, we'd love to meet you.

Childhood should be more than screens, schedules, and rushing from one activity to the next.

At WildWise, children build forts, hike mountains, learn wilderness skills, explore beaches, practice archery, study ecology, make friends, and discover what they're capable of.

For more than a decade, we've helped Kitsap families create meaningful educational experiences rooted in curiosity, community, and connection to the natural world.

Summer camp enrollment is open now, and spots are still available.

We're also enrolling for our 2026-27 academic and homeschool support programs.

Growing capable, confident young people since 2013.

Congratulations to Remi on achieving his first solo bow drill fire today!

There is something powerful about the moment a student creates fire with their own hands. Patience, focus, persistence, breath, friction, and confidence all come together in a single ember. These are the moments that build real resilience and self-trust.

At WildWise, students do more than learn about the natural world. They learn how to move through it with skill, awareness, and responsibility. From wilderness skills and traditional crafts to mentorship, rites of passage, and outdoor education, we believe hands-on learning matters.

Enrollment is open for our 2026/27 programs and summer wilderness experiences.
