We are so excited to announce that Emerald Heights now has a Little Library open just in time for summer reading! It is located by the front door of the school and is open to the community for all ages. You can donate or take books anytime!
Emerald Heights PTA purchased the materials for the library and parent Greg Holmes and his daughter, Caroline, built, painted and installed it. Thanks to the
CKSD facilities department for installing the pole and to Ms. Brush and the district for allowing the library to be placed on school grounds.
All books are from donations and parents are encouraged to monitor books selected by their children. This little library is not associated with the school and any school library books should still be returned to the school library.

During the last week of school Mrs. Bonsell's class got a special visit from her husband who is a Firefighter and Paramedic. In the classroom, he taught the kinders about fire safety and then they went outside to see all the important equipment on a truck and even got to help spray water through the hoses! Thank you Mr. Bonsell for teaching fire safety and giving our kids an experience they won't forget! 🚒👨‍🚒💦

Mrs. Fleck's class proudly shared their Arctic stories with Mrs. Meek's students! The young authors enjoyed reading their work aloud, while the younger students loved listening to the creative stories. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate student writing and connect with one another. ❄️📚✨
