As the premier provider of art education for children and adults on the greater Kitsap Peninsula, we provide high quality fine art instruction that empowers students with essential life skills to achieve success in school and confidence to accomplish any goal. We also offer classes at the Seabeck Community Center and are available for offsite instruction on request. We are dedicated to bringing a joyful art experience to students of all ages.

Our final camp of the summer was so much fun!
These young artists had a wonderful week exploring different types of Cartooning genres, media and techniques.
They explored the beach for inspiration and created their own unique art pieces.

What a wonderful way to close out our summer program.

Do you have a student in Middle or High School looking to add more art into their life?
Kitsap Art's School Year Programs provides classes designed to help students explore a wide variety of media and techniques, while discovering their personal art styles.
In these classes, students explore a full range of subjects – including the human form, animals, nature, still life and landscape – students are introduced to creating more three dimensional and realistic artwork through the use of shading, perspective and composition as well.

Week 8 of Summer Camps has been packed full of activities, with these young artists exploring such media as acrylic, watercolor, chalk and more to create adorable animal inspired artwork.

One of the fantastic benefits of having Dyes Inlet and the Silverdale Waterfront just a few steps from the Kitsap Art studio is that they provide unlimited inspiration all year long.

We recently held a Plein Air workshop through the Olympic College continuing education program and participants were able to explore and find just the right viewpoint to inspire their watercolor pieces.
Each person found something unique in the surrounding landscape, applying different colors and watercolor application to create one-of-a-kind images.
And they all turned out amazing!

Did you know August 7th is National Lighthouse Day?

Lighthouses have been important safety guides for ships navigating shorelines around the world including Kitsap County's own Point No Point Lighthouse out in Hansville.

* The first lighthouse was built in Egypt between 300-280 B.C
* A lighthouse in La Caruna, Spain is the oldest still standing lighthouse - dating to 20 B.C.
* The state with the most lighthouses is Michigan with 124

Lighthouses are often featured in art pieces as a symbol of hope, safety and resilience.
