⏳The countdown to the First Day of School has officially begun - and it's 17 days!

🍎 The school's main office will be open on Monday, August 17th.
🎒 Kindergarten Round-Up is Tuesday, August 25th from 1:00-2:30pm.
🎒 Back-to-School Meet & Greet is Thursday, August 27th from 1:30-3:30pm.

📚 The Emerald Heights Free Little Library is Open!

Just in time for summer reading, our new Free Little Library is now open and ready for visitors! It is located near the front entrance of the school and is available to the entire community. Books for readers of all ages are available to borrow, and donations are welcome at any time.

This project was made possible through the support of the Emerald Heights PTA, which purchased the materials for the library. A special thank you to parent Greg Holmes and his daughter, Caroline, for building, painting, and installing it. We also appreciate the CKSD Facilities Department for installing the pole and providing support, as well as the district and Emerald Heights administration for allowing the library to be placed on school grounds.

All books in the Free Little Library have been donated. Parents are encouraged to monitor books selected by their children. Please note that the Free Little Library is a community resource and is not affiliated with the Emerald Heights school library. School library books should still be returned to the library inside the building.

🎤🎶 3rd-5th Grade Talent Show 🎶🎤

Is your child ready for the spotlight? Our 3rd–5th grade talent show is coming soon to the Emerald Heights stage!
Auditions will be held on May 18th. Students may audition as solo acts or in groups (small or large) with a 3–4 minute performance.

Just a reminder, tomorrow is the last day of Staff Appreciation Week and we want to end the week with a bang!!! 🎉

Families are invited to join us on the plaza before the students are released for the day (show up between 3/3:10) so that we can cheer on our ⚡AMAZING SUPER STAFF⚡as they get ready to leave for the weekend!

💚Deck out in green- Make a sign- decorate your car as you come through the pick up line- grab one of our poms- and clap and cheer with us to show our staff just how amazing we think they are!! 💚

Bring your neighbors, your past EM students, and come join the fun! Just FYI: If you live in one of the surrounding neighborhoods, it might be a better idea to walk down as parking gets pretty crowded.

Calling all Emerald Heights PTA families— We need your help! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Staff Appreciation Week is coming up May 4th–8th and we’re going all out to celebrate the MARVEL-ous team that makes our school so special! From themed lunches and daily games to surprises and even a student-led Jr. Chef Dessert Table --- it’s going to be a week full of fun and gratitude.
But every great hero team needs support behind the scenes—and that’s where our families come in!💥

✨ Whether you can give a little time as a volunteer, send in an item or two, or help your student join the dessert fun—there’s a place for everyone to be part of the mission.
