It's a sad day for the SLF team. Today we had to make the choice to end Timmy's suffering and let him go. Timmy (husband) and I are out of town and we are so, incredibly, grateful to Kim, Zoe, Zack, Lilly, Lori and Jordyn, who handled the situation this morning; and to Dr. Malone for always answering the phone on a Sunday. They did all the right things and, in the end, Timmy had all the love and compassion he deserved. And thank you to Nick and Makayla for bringing the heavy equipment so he could be buried on the farm, alongside our other legendary lost lesson ponies. This is the ugly side of this amazing life we live. And we are so grateful for the people who make it bearable. Timmy will missed dearly. ❤️

When you end the show season, hauling your ribbons out in a box, it makes me smile for you because you worked hard for them.

But.... when a judge tells me my kids are incredibly polite and exhibit the essence of teamwork and when a ring announcer tells me that my kids have the best attitude and that our program is obviously doing something right.... that's the part that makes your red bull and cold chicken tenders for breakfast, red flag waving trainer very proud.

My kids and ponies are the real faces and the true mvp's of this program.
