With support from Avanci, our Summer Bridge program expanded to Dallas! Earlier this month we welcomed students in New York and Dallas for an engaging introduction to law and legal careers.

Through mock trials, real-world legal discussionyuh7y76s, and mentorship from law students and legal professionals, the students built critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills while exploring futures in law and public service.

Too often, students learn about government and public policy without seeing how they can influence either. A new initiative from Street Law and the California Legal Pathways Collaborative aims to change that.

By connecting civic engagement, law and policy learning, and career exploration, we're helping students understand not only how government works, but how they can participate in shaping it. The project will support students pursuing the Civic Seal who are required to complete a capstone as a graduation requirement. They will investigate community issues, develop evidence-based recommendations, engage with local decision-makers, and explore careers in law, advocacy, and public service.

At a time when communities need informed, engaged problem-solvers, helping young people connect classroom learning to real-world impact has never been more important and we’re grateful to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for supporting this work.
