Uplift A Child International (Vonumu International) is a non-profit organization, founded by Sam and Rena Vonumu in 2000. Our objective is to identify poor and needy children, put them in school, and support them through 12 years of schooling, all the way through their high school. This will keep the children off the streets, provide them with the basic skills to develop, and give them an opportunity to emerge as self-reliant and productive members of the society. By the time the children complete high school, they will have the necessary social skills and will be mature enough to plan and work towards a brighter future. Until then, we work with each child in helping the child grow in the right direction. We always have hundreds of children waiting for help on our website. We would like to invite people and companies to join us to support these children and give them a new hope in life with the gift of education. 90% of our operations are managed by volunteers minimizing the expenses so that we can benefit the children the most. We have 104 locations all over India, Nepal, USA, Canada, Philippines, Congo, Kenya and South Africa. We have a proposal to support 1 million children and waiting for a sponsor.
