What do we do here? We experience the greatest works of culture ever written, discovered, played, or painted and discuss them in online video discussions we call "Seminars" guided by a Conversera facilitator. Conversera Seminars are not passive webinar lectures where you are just a receptacle for the knowledge of an expert. Seminars are memorable and enjoyable conversations where a group of 15 participants work together to come to a greater understanding. Imagine exploring the work of great thinkers and artists on your own, then having a great and insightful conversation about those works. Imagine asking a question and having a trained conversation facilitator and 15 other learners helping you to find an answer. Imagine a group of people building something together out of their intellects, hearts, and imaginations. That is the vision of Conversera. Should the great works of literature, art, film and science be restricted and censored in order to avoid potentially offending people? Can we study the works whole and unchanged in order to enrich our understanding of what has come before us? What are your thoughts?

Harvey Silverglate says that censorship on campuses is getting so bad that discussions of what can’t be said come with a ‘trigger warning.’
