The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. visited our Camp Springs, MD Head Start center to teach children about fire safety and emergency preparedness! 🚒 Firefighters introduced the children to their equipment, explained their role in helping the community, and provided important safety tips in a fun and engaging way.

The Cohen Clinic at Easterseals is offering an upcoming virtual Dads Support Group designed for military service members, veterans, caregivers, and family members who are fathers or parental figures to children under 18.

This supportive 8-week group helps fathers build practical coping skills, strengthen connection, and better manage the stressors of parenting alongside others who understand the unique experiences of military and veteran families.

Together, we’ll explore the invisible weight many women veterans carry while balancing service, caregiving, leadership, survival mode, and healing through storytelling.

Last month, our Camp Springs, MD Head Start team and students enjoyed a trip to the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute! 🐼🐯🦓 They observed animals, learned about wildlife conservation efforts, and gained an appreciation for the natural world.

Joining Adult Day participants for Bingo with Buddies were M&T Bank, Wegmans, Roadside Development, Easterseals Board member emeritus Glenn Yarborough, and Alison Eisiminger. Thank you to these "buddies" for their ongoing support (and bingo prizes!) that brings care and quality to Easterseals' disability, veteran, and military family services.

Active bodies + happy hearts 🧡 = a great day at Easterseals Early Head Start! Our Washington, DC team's Fitness Day was filled with movement, laughter, and tons of playground fun! Children enjoyed staying active, building confidence, and making healthy choices while spending time outdoors together.
