TONIGHT:
Join us for this informative virtual workshop with the Department of Curriculum Development and Instruction for an engaging session that highlights how MCPS supports every student’s academic growth across a wide range of subjects and programs. This session will also answer important questions about the MCPS grading and reporting system, how it works, where families can view grades, and how to understand report cards and their key takeaways. Families will learn how to access report cards in their preferred language and gain insights into parent-teacher conferences: what they look like in elementary, middle, and high school; why they are important; and what questions to ask teachers. We will also discuss ways parents can partner with teachers beyond conferences and share strategies to support children’s learning and success at home.

Del aula al hogar: Apoyo en el aprendizaje y las calificaciones en MCPS
Miércoles, 12 de noviembre de 6-7 pm, virtual via Zoom

Únase a nosotros en esta presentación virtual dada por el Departamento de Desarrollo de Instrucción Curricular. En esta presentación importante hablaremos cómo MCPS apoya el crecimiento académico de los estudiantes en las escuelas. También responderemos preguntas importantes sobre cómo funciona el sistema de calificaciones de MCPS, dónde pueden las familias consultar las calificaciones y cómo interpretar las boletas de calificaciones. Las familias también obtendrán información de cómo acceder a las boletas de calificaciones en su idioma preferido y obtendrán información sobre las reuniones de padres y maestros. Hablaremos de por qué son importantes; y qué preguntas pueden las familias hacer a los maestros durante las reuniones. Además, hablaremos sobre cómo los padres pueden colaborar con los maestros más allá de estas reuniones y compartiremos estrategias para apoyar el aprendizaje y el éxito de los niños en casa. Los esperamos esta noche de 6 a 7 pm.
