Still riding the high from this weekend. 🪷
15 years of Sharanya and this one felt different. The energy in that room, the performances, the community that showed up, it was everything we work toward all year.
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. Loved dancing with these two as always! Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us. 🤍

No two dancers are on the same journey — so why should training be one size fits all?
This summer I’m offering private online lessons designed around you. Whether you’re returning to dance after a break, working toward a personal goal, or just want focused time to refine your technique — we build a path that’s yours.
Limited spots available. Sign up through the link in bio or DM me for details. 🪷

Welcome back Shruthi!!! ✨
Shruthi was one of my first students. Then the pandemic happened, high school ended, college started, and she even moved all the way to LA.
But dance has a way of finding you again. She joined our adults online refresher class in January, and we’ve been working together privately ever since.
Today she walked back into this studio for the first time since before the pandemic. Same floors, same mirrors — but she’s not the same dancer she was. She’s grown into herself.
This is exactly why I do this work. Dance doesn’t expire. Your journey doesn’t end just because life gets in the way. 🪷

The arangetram isn’t the goal. It’s the moment a dancer claims everything she’s been building — her technique, her story, her voice.
So much of what we do in the studio is preparation. Years of adavus, of corrections, of showing up even when it’s hard. But the arangetram is something different. It’s the moment the dancer stops performing for her teacher and starts performing for herself.
The tradition is the foundation. The steps, the mudras, the music — all of it passed down through generations. But what you build on that foundation is entirely your own. Your expression, your story, your identity.
That’s what Bharatanatyam has always been to me — not a mold to fit into, but a language to speak in your own voice. 🪷

Dance conditioning is about supporting the body behind the art 🌸
So much of Bharatanatyam asks for strength, stability, endurance, and control. This class is designed to help dancers enhance those foundations intentionally, so they can move with more confidence, consistency, and awareness in their practice.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your posture, improve stamina, or create more sustainability in your training, this class is meant to support long-term growth through thoughtful conditioning ✨

Our newest Sharanya student was paw-ing a lot of attention in class today 🐶✨
Excellent audience skills, strong observation skills, and only a few interruptions for belly rubs and pets.
Welcome to the Sharanya family Vera! Thanks to your mommy for signing you up 😁
