🐑 We had a great trip to Gale Woods Farm today! THANK YOU, to our amazing chaperones! 💜🤗

Students got to cook pancakes, visit the sheep, learn about wool, make a felt animal, explore the apple orchard and learn about bees, check out the gardens and sample rhubarb and asparagus, and say hello to the chicks, chickens, cows, pigs, and my favorite, the farm cat, Spud! Students got to watch a baby chick hatch, which was super neat!

🐝 Have I mentioned that we LOVE Mystery Science?! Today, students demonstrated what it’s like for bees to pollinate other flowers. We learned that plants need 2 parents, just like we do! 🌼

We also practiced writing our names in cursive - looking great! ✏️

Second grade visited yesterday, and we had some awesome leaders tell them what’s great about Lakeside! 🏫

It was a fun Friday! Students earned “Stuffy Day” and “Sit Where You Want Day” based on the fundraiser! We also had a couple FFA friends read us a story about where our lunch comes from. Students got to draw a picture of their dream lunch.
