Congratulations, Kayla.
WNMU senior Kayla Henry was recently recognized by the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society. She was given $500 to help offset a portion of her educational expenses.
She joined Delta Mu Delta in May 2017 and, when this scholarship opportunity arose, sought recommendation letters from professors and the Associate Dean of the WNMU School of Business, one of her mentors.
The application asked about her academic achievements and leadership experience but also about a good deed. “I talked about how I returned a lost purse at Walmart one time. I’d want someone to do that for me,” Kayla said.
From Belize, the senior studying business management is hoping to begin her career in marketing and eventually run her own business “back home.”
