Volunteers wanted! Next Tuesday, September 1st from 4:00pm-6:00pm we'll be doing the second round of planting for the Library Landscaping Project, this time on the Davis Drive side of the building! If you can, please call the library at 218-226-4331 to add your name to the volunteer list, or simply showing up is fine too. Please bring your own gloves if desired. Bringing tools such as garden shovels to dig is optional but may come in handy.

Deadline extended until Monday, August 24! With the school year just around the corner, families are invited to sign up for the Salvation Army Backpack Program. Fill out and turn in the application at the library, then return to the library on Tuesday, August 25 from 11am-2pm to pick up your backpacks with school supplies! Questions? Check out the new Memory Kit, donated by the Minnesota Department of Health! The kit contains a variety of games and resources to support memory health including a Loteria game (traditional Mexican game similar to bingo), “Let’s Chat” conversation cards, “Figures of Speech” game, “Golden Memories” card game, Bingo set (calling cards, cards, chips), fidget toy, “The Remember Balloons” book, and 2 caregiving booklets. The kit is available for 28-day checkout.
