We are so proud of our Tiger Band for a great performance tonight at the parade! In addition to tonight's performance, we had some students audition for the ATSSB All-Region Band earlier this morning, and had several students make the band! We have 14 members that earned a spot in the band, and 9 of those are advancing to the Area level of competition in January! Way to go, Band!!!

This morning, our amazing feature twirler, Ava Patterson, went to UIL Twirling Competition and earned a first division rating on a Class 1 solo! She will be advancing to the Texas State Solo and Ensemble competition in May! We are so proud of you!

Congratulations to our new drum majors, feature twirler, and color guard members! Our drum majors for 2025-2026 are Trevor Patterson and Bailey Guedry! Our 2025-2026 feature twirler is Ava Patterson! This next year we will have 11 color guard members! Congratulations to Pauline Champagne, Kaylyn Cook, Kaitlyn Duffy, Makenzie Fikes, Miya Frank, Isabella Gonzales, Hailey Knight, Karlee Perteet, Jacelynne Rogers, Madeline White, and Iliana Wright! We can't wait to see all these amazing students under the Friday night lights this coming fall!

These amazing young men and women represented Silsbee well yesterday at the ATSSB Region 10 All-Region Band Concert! They were selected through an audition process last December to perform with this honor group and had a wonderful concert led by Dr. Tamey Anglley from SFA University and Mr. Tim Pallone from Lamar University! Congratulations again to these outstanding Tiger Band musicians!

I had the honor of accompanying these wonderful young ladies and gentlemen from our SHS Fighting Tiger Band to the Symphony of Southeast Texas concert tonight! I'm so proud of these amazing young men and women! We performed at the UIL Region 10 Marching Contest today, and earned a rating of Excellent! They've worked tirelessly since the end of July preparing for today, and they represented Silsbee extremely well, both on and off the field! We are so proud of our drum majors! Loraliegh Taylor and Trevor Patterson spent the past 5 days at SFASU honing their leadership and musical skills at the SFA Drum Major Camp. This year, out of 90 participants, Loraliegh was awarded Outstanding Squad Leader, and Trevor was selected as Outstanding Drum Major!!! I know our Tiger Band is in great hands with these two wonderful young people at the helm! Congratulations Loraliegh and Trevor!!!

Our amazing Drum Majors are off to camp at SFASU! They will have a busy week learning marching, conducting, and leadership skills! We are so proud of these two and look forward to seeing them put all this knowledge to use this coming fall!

This amazing group of musicians competed at the UIL Region 10 Band Concert and Sightreading Contest today! This is the first time in about 15 years we haven't performed at our own HS - we traveled to Nederland. We earned an Excellent rating on Stage and in Sightreading! They performed an incredibly challenging program today, and definitely grew as a group and as musicians through this process! I am so proud of these young men and women, and continue to be amazed by their growth, both musically and personally!
