Over the last few days, our Horticulture Science students have been busy kicking off the school year by creating nearly 60 floral arrangements for teachers and staff who are new to Silsbee ISD.

This was more than just a chance for our students to practice their floral design skills. It was also a simple way to show off what it means to be a Tiger: thoughtfulness, kindness, and welcoming others into our family.

Exciting changes are happening in the Silsbee High School Agriculture Department!

To better represent everything our program has to offer, we have combined our social media presence into one page. Our former Tiger Lilly page has been renamed Silsbee High School Agriculture Department, and this page will now showcase all areas of our agricultural education program.

Agricultural education at Silsbee High School is built on the shared passion and dedication of both agriculture science teachers, David Eller and Brayden Woodruff. We are excited to work together to provide students with hands on experiences, leadership opportunities, and career preparation across every area of agriculture.

The Tiger Lily Challenge: The Blooms Wear Prada did not disappoint. 👠🌹🔥

Our Tiger Lilies stepped onto the floor with confidence, creativity, and just the right amount of edge—proving they belong in the spotlight.

✨ Tiger Lily History Made ✨

In my 7 years at Silsbee ISD, our floral program has always pushed for excellence through certification — from Basic Knowledge to Level 1… and then there’s Level 2.

Level 2 is not easy. It takes skill, discipline, and true artistry. And in the entire history of the Tiger Lily program, only two students had ever achieved this level… until now.

💐 We are proud to welcome Matti Potter as the newest Level 2 Floral Certification recipient! 💐

This is an elite accomplishment, and it speaks volumes about her dedication, talent, and growth as a designer.

I am also incredibly proud of these talented young ladies for earning their certifications and continuing to raise the standard of our program:

Moments like this are what it’s all about — growth, passion, and watching students bloom into something truly special.
