Allen families! We’re excited to pilot a new engagement app called Stopfinder. This platform is designed to keep you informed about your child’s bus location and arrival time at school. Right now, the pilot is limited to Allen Elementary as we work through any initial kinks—thank you for your patience and support! We plan to expand access districtwide later this summer, around late July or early August.

❗ Please check your email for a message from Stopfinder (check your spam folder too). It will include instructions on how to sign up and get started. ❗

We missed this post earlier this month, but we didn't want to forget these awesome folks either! Each and every job in our transportation department is valued and needed. We see you crossing guards!!

Today is School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day! 🥳 These incredible individuals show up early in the mornings and late in the afternoons, all to keep our children safe. A few things you may not know about this special group: they love poking fun at one another, remember even the smallest details about students and adults alike, and truly love what they do. Crossing guards are often overlooked, but every role in the SSSD matters—especially theirs. The next time you see one of these friendly faces, be sure to offer a smile and a few words of encouragement! Also missing from our group photo is Ms. Gail, who helps keep our Southside students safe. 💖

A GREAT lookin' group right there!! And we couldn't have said it better ourselves. Every month is "Love the Bus" month for us! 💛

Did you know February is National Love the Bus Month? 🚌 And we truly love our bus drivers! They’re so much more than “just” bus drivers. They are moms and dads, sisters and brothers, grandparents, friends, and incredible coworkers—the list goes on. They’re often the first smiling face our students see in the morning and the last fist bump they get before heading home each day. Let’s show these amazing men and women just how much we appreciate them—drop some love in the comments below! 💛

We want to inform our community about a bus accident that occurred this morning in a heavily trafficked area. We understand the concern this may cause and want to reassure families that at no time were any students injured. Students were safely transferred to another bus and continued on to their schools without disruption. The safety of our students remains our highest priority.

- Airport Rd students: Will Ride Route 9 – buses will be 5–10 minutes early.
- Thomas St. students: Will Ride Route 28 – buses will be 5–10 minutes late.
- Lincoln St. students: Will Ride Route 2 – buses will be 5–10 minutes early.
