Leap FROG Montessori Forest School

Bridgitt Ragsdale has joined our team and coordinates our Forest Fridays this year! From painting rocks 🪨to share with a child fighting cancer to finding people who know how to use our newly acquired loom (donated by Mrs. Rozell) she is making our Fridays run smoothly. We have already had classes in Spanish, card making, 🔨woodworking, birds,🦅 and 🏊swimming. We know more about art 🎨 and famous artists. We have tried our hand at cooking, why NOT to eat the 🦞crawdads, and how to weave different kinds of yarn. 🧶 That is all in the first month!!

The Lord continues to bless LeapFROG Montessori Forest School! This year we have 75 students from Pr-K through 9th grade! On August 10th Mr. Grant and Dr. Sutherland welcomed their 6th through 9th graders in their newly renovated classrooms. Amy Kimberly greeted her 3rd-5th graders from a new location with her assistant Amanda Barnett. Kay Sutherland and Ashton Fisher welcomed their 24 first and second graders with their assistant Helen Rogers! Kim Kromann greeted her Kindergarten class from the room Ms. Kimberly was in last year. Our PreK class met in Lanette Bieber’s rooms located in the annex. Our executive assistant, Christine Holmes, keeps us organized and greets us all as we enter the main door of LeapFROG every morning. We have enjoyed the first month of school, getting to know each other, and settling into our new routines!

Yesterday we had the opportunity to thank our Governor, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, for her EFA (Education Freedom Account) initiative. The Arkansas Learns Act has really blessed our LeapFROG community.
