The key words in this post "effective early intervention." If you are unsure of the red flags you should be watching for as parents/guardians, reach out to use. We can help!

Dr. Torgesen was one of many researchers who discovered that early intervention prevents reading difficulties from worsening. 'Early' means the first two years of school.

'Intervention' means systematic, structured and explicit teaching targeted at a child's individual needs.

“The School to Prison Pipeline runs right through reading classrooms!” Hilderbrand Pelzer III

What a profound and unfortunately, accurate statement! We cannot ignore these facts that intersect with that statement.

75% of all inmates in youth detention centers or adult prisons are functionally illiterate.

According to the US.Department of Justice, “The link between academic failure and delinquency, violence, and crime is welded to reading failure.

And that the majority of incarcerated individuals are not only black but black men.
