Saturday at the MACC was all about getting up close with some of our local wildlife! 🐢🐍🦉

Reflection Riding joined us for Animal Ambassadors, bringing four incredible guests: a box turtle, corn snake, opossum, and great horned owl.

We learned about each animal as a native species, including what they eat, where they live, how they survive, and the important role they play in our ecosystem. It was such a fun and educational morning and a great reminder of the amazing wildlife right here in our own backyard!

Thank you to Reflection Riding for bringing these incredible ambassadors to the MACC, and to everyone who came out to meet them! 💚

We have one opening in our Tech Goes Home Computer Basics class! This hands-on course is designed for adults who want to build confidence with computers, email, internet basics, and online safety. No experience necessary!

It’s going to be a fun week at the MACC!

We’ve got a little bit of everything coming your way:

🍰 Gigi's Sweet Stop will be at the MACC tomorrow, August 18, from 3–6 PM with all the goodies! Come grab a sweet treat and enjoy a visit.

🐢 Reflection Riding joins us Saturday, August 22, with three animal ambassadors! Get up close with some amazing creatures and learn more about the natural world around us. Free for ages 2 and under; $2 for ages 3 and up.

🎨 R. Emery Davis Art Exhibit is on display in the Shropshire Gallery throughout the week during regular MACC hours. Stop in and take a look at these beautiful works!

Animals Are Coming to the MACC!! 🐍🦅

Need a break from the August heat? Come cool off at the MACC on August 22 and meet some incredible animal ambassadors from Reflection Riding!

It’s a fun, hands-on opportunity to see and learn about some amazing creatures. A great way to spend a Saturday with the whole family.

🎟️ Just $2 per person ages 3 and up!

Calling all pickers, pluckers, fiddlers, and strummers!

Starting Thursday, September 17, join us for our Open String Jam at the Mountain Arts Community Center!

Every third Thursday of the month
7:00–8:00 PM
Free to attend (donations to the MACC are always appreciated!)

Bring your favorite string instrument and enjoy an evening of making music together. Whether you're a seasoned musician or just love to play, all ages and skill levels are welcome. Come listen, come learn, or jump right into the circle!

Weather permitting: We'll gather on the stage behind the MACC.
If it rains: We'll move indoors to the Ridge Theater stage.

We're also looking for a few musicians who would be interested in helping lead the jam. If that's you, we'd love to hear from you!
