God bless our Dads! At Signal Crest Preschool today, we honored all our fabulous Dads with a little special donut time this morning at drop off. The kids beamed walking in with their Dads, Grandads (and a sprinkle of Mommies, too…for those Daddies unable to attend this morning.)The children shared some special gifts to tell them how loved and appreciated they are. Thank you, Dads for all you do!! ❤️

Signal Crest United Methodist Church is excited to announce that we are hiring a Kitchen Coordinator!

We’re looking for someone with experience managing a commercial kitchen—meal planning, purchasing, scheduling, and coordinating volunteers. This role includes preparing one home‑cooked fellowship meal per month on Wednesday evenings, collaborating with staff and volunteers to create meaningful experiences of connection and community.

The position also includes Sunday morning hospitality (making coffee and setting out pastries) and being available for special events throughout the year. As our congregation continues to express a strong desire for fellowship, there is room for this ministry to grow.

Our chapel story today from the book of Exodus in the Old Testament was about Moses climbing the mountain to receive God’s commandments and the instruction to share them with God’s people. Last week, our 4s had their traditional Teddy Bear theme! They used maps to explore and hunt for an elusive bear, read a plethora of bear themed books, made bear caves, measured, drew pictures and shared something about their own “teddy/stuffie.” The theme is topped off with a celebratory Teddy Bear Parade and Picnic with their bears/stuffies, friends and families. 🧸🧺

🎶”I said, ‘now Pharoah, Pharoah, oooh, oooh, let my people go….yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.’” 🎶 Chapel time this week was from our Old Testament about how God used Moses to help free the enslaved Israelites. Moses was a special person. God put the circumstances in place to save him from a floating basket in the river as a baby, to now using him to ask King Pharoah to free the slaves. Moses was so scared, but God gave him strength to be brave. There are lots of people in the Bible that God calls to do big and helpful things. How is God calling or using you today to help?

She explained what ancestors are and about God’s promise to Abram that He would give him a family that would be as numerous as the stars in the sky. Yay…Music with Mrs. Marla every week has been so fun! This week, our 3s and 4s had special “combined music classes,” and she lead the kids on a teddy bear hunt (going over, under, around and through) in their search. She also lead them in singing some “bear-y” delightful tunes. Thank you, Mrs. Marla! 🧸🎶
