Join Water Wise and our friends from for this great program on the importance of water in cave ecosystems and the formation of cave structures! This presentation will be held on Friday October 11th at 6:00 PM in the Public Meeting Room of Groth Hall on the University of Arizona Sierra Vista Campus located at 1140 Colombo Avenue.
If you can't make this program mark Saturday November 9th on your calendar as Kartchner Caverns State Park will be celebrating 50 years of Discovery at the park in Benson, AZ that Day!

We had a great turn out for our San Pedro River Hummingbird Migration Program yesterday. A big thanks to the community for showing up to support, and of course of speaker, Tom Wood from Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory. Up next Water Wise will be at the STEAMFEST in Willcox on August 24th. Maybe we will see you there!

Water Wise is proud to present our next program, "San Pedro River Hummingbird Migration"! August is Hummingbird Month in the City of Sierra Vista and we want you to come learn and celebrate with us on August 18th.
Our speaker, Tom Wood is co-founder and director of Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory and has been studying hummingbirds along the San Pedro River for over 30 years. If you can't make this talk you should try to visit Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory at one of their educational hummingbird banding days at the San Pedro House or attend one of the many hummingbird related events happening throughout the city of Sierra Vista this month. Last Month Water Wise hosted a riparian tree ID workshop in Sierra Vista. It went so nice we are doing it twice! This time it will be in Bisbee on Sunday July 28th. We hope to see you there.

Over the weekend Water Wise hosted a Riparian Tree ID Workshop. We had a great time and learned a lot along the way! Scheduled next we have Flora Fronteriza: Native Plant Restoration in the Arizona/Sonora Borderlands on July 7th. We hope you are as excited to learn about native plants as we are!
