Center for Academic Success SV

Center for Academic Success SV CAS opened in 1996 and has grown to be one of the largest chartered public schools in AZ

CAS schools are located in the cities of Sierra Vista and Douglas, in southeast Arizona. A tuition-free Public Charter School, CAS offers parents the opportunity to choose a school that fits their student's individual needs, with small class sizes and award-winning teaching staff. Our mission is to prepare our students with the skills and abilities necessary to become successful and contributing m

embers of the community. In partnership with students, parents, and the local communities, we will provide our students with a superior education within a safe and positive environment. To achieve this success, we believe that our students must acquire strong literacy skills, be able to do mathematical computations at the appropriate level, and have a solid foundation in science and technology. The Sierra Vista Campus serves grades K-12, and also includes an on-site Preschool for children ages 3-5. At CAS High School, our goal is to encourage and allow students to reach their full potential through academic confidence and independence. We provide individualized programs to help students bridge the gap to successful learning through flexible tutoring programs and skill-specific classes. Our free Before and After School Care programs for all grades provide a safe and enriching environment for students to learn and grow.

πŸ“ Coordinate Relay Race! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ“ˆ

During Mrs. Flores’ Math class, students took their learning outside the classroom through a fun and interactive Coordinate Relay Race! πŸŽ‰πŸ“πŸ“ˆ

Students practiced plotting points on the coordinate plane while working together, racing against the clock, and having fun with Math! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβ±οΈπŸ†

The challenge was simple: the team that plotted all the points correctly in the shortest amount of time won! β±οΈπŸ†
It was exciting to see them move, collaborate, apply their math skills, and have fun while learning. πŸ’―β€οΈ

Who says Math can’t be fun? πŸ˜πŸ“š
