Dear Wolfpack Families,
We are excited to invite you to our Curriculum & Title I Night on Wednesday, August 26! This evening is an opportunity for families to learn more about what students will be learning this year, classroom expectations, curriculum and instructional programs, and how we can work together to support student success.
Teachers will provide presentations in their classrooms at various times throughout the evening. Families may attend the session that works best for their schedule. Please review the schedule below, as the format is different for our 6th Grade Honors and 7th Grade students (Departmentalized Classes).
📚 Kindergarten–6th Grade
Teachers will offer the same classroom presentation during the following sessions:
4:00–4:25 p.m.
4:30–4:55 p.m.
5:00–5:25 p.m.
5:30–5:55 p.m.
Families only need to attend one session per classroom. If you have multiple children at PDS, the repeated sessions provide an opportunity to visit each child's classroom.
🐺 6th Grade Honors & 7th Grade (Departmentalized Classes)
Because our 6th Grade Honors and 7th Grade students have multiple teachers throughout the day, families will follow a schedule that allows them to hear from each teacher:
4:00–4:25 p.m. – Homeroom/1st Period Teacher
4:30–4:50 p.m. – 2nd Period Teacher
4:55–5:10 p.m. – 3rd Period Teacher
5:15–5:30 p.m. – 4th Period Teacher
5:30–6:00 p.m. – Homeroom/1st Period Teacher
The final Homeroom/1st Period session provides another opportunity for families who were unable to attend the 4:00 p.m. session.
⭐ Title I Information
As a Title I school, we will also share important information about our Title I program, including how Title I funding supports our students, staff, instructional programs, and family engagement opportunities.
Curriculum & Title I Night is a great opportunity to learn more about your child's school day and how you can support learning at home. We value the partnership between our families and school and hope you will join us!
