There was a frog in the Sierra Vista Campus Library yesterday! It may be cliche, but we named him Dewey.
 
After catching him with a plastic cup, we released him in the shade of a tree just outside the 900 building. We noticed he had some sort of lint on him, but it wasn’t tangled around his leg and it didn’t seem to affect his mobility. So, we told him to bring it back in 3 weeks!
 
All sorts of exciting things happen in the library, so make sure to stop by and check it out! We even have books about frogs  😉

CORRECTION: Sierra Vista Campus library will be closed all next week as remodeling continues.

As the summer semester comes to a close, remember to plan your library visits accordingly with our modified hours! The fall semester begins on August 17th, so make sure to stop by the library beforehand to get acquainted with your new favorite hangout and study spot!

The Sierra Vista Campus location of Cochise College Libraries will be closed Tuesday, July 21st through Friday, July 24th for painting.

Library staff will be available to answer the door for material and equipment returns Tuesday-Thursday, only.

Nature is pretty good, but returning your checkouts to the library is even better! Well, that’s how we see it, anyway.
 
All checkouts are due to be returned to Cochise College Libraries by July 20th, 2026. This includes all books and media, laptops, hotspots, and anything else you have checked out on your library account.
 
Remember: you must return laptops and hotspots at the end of the semester and resubmit a new request form for the new semester. Fall 2026 equipment requests open on July 21st.
