I have been very fortunate to have people in my life that love and care about me. When I was in the Army, after 6 years of being an admin clerk i reenlisted for a new job, we call it MOS in the military. I went to Intel school in 1980, graduated and my first assignment was at Fort Carson with the 4th Infantry Division where I met the new G-2, LTC Luther Potter. He made us feel more like a team, a family and we did some difficult deployments and came out on top. We have so many stories to tell. LTC Potter became my Army dad and we remained family for the rest of our lives. He knew my parents and anytime we would get together we would share some stories because we had some great stories! I was able to talk to him on my wedding day and we had the honor to say how much we love each other. I am so glad I could have a few words with him. It is with a heavy heart to share that my Army dad mad his transition today! He had been dealing with with cancer for a long time! Fly free soldier! You will definitely be missed. I love you dad, Ponya, COL Luther L. Potter, Military Intelligence Officer, Retired. Namaste

Today is the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The first time I visited the memorial, it was an incredible experience to walk where so many gave their lives for our freedoms. My dad’s ship pulled out of Pearl Harbor 3 days before the attack and was ordered to return. We sometimes forget the sacrifices so many have made so that we can do and be whatever we want. Honor a veteran today by simple saying “ Thank you for your service.” All of us are standing on the shoulders of those who have gone before us. Chief Warrant Officer Five, US Army Retired. HOOAH!

I am home from my travels. I had a long drive and lots of rain. The traffic was light. Only saw one huge accident outside of Palm Springs. I love my family and spending time with them and friends. Thanks for a wonderful time together. Namaste
