Early Development Network-Sidney

Early Development Network-Sidney Early Development Network for PRT 14 It is a voluntary program and does not discriminate based on race, culture, religion, income level, or disability.

The Early Development Network-Babies Can't Wait can help you and your family support and promote your child’s development, within your family activities and community life. Nebraska’s Early Development Network supports children birth through three years of age who have special developmental needs. The Nebraska Early Development Network program “connects” families with early intervention services,

such as occupational, speech or physical therapy, to help infants and toddlers grow and develop and help their families in this process. The term “early intervention" is important because research shows that the first three years are the most important time for learning in a child's life. Providing developmental supports and services early improves a child's ability to develop and learn. Also, it may prevent or decrease the need for special help later. The goal of early intervention in Nebraska is to “open a window of opportunity” for families to help their children with special needs develop to their full potential

Lets talk referrals!!!!
Did you know anybody can refer a child to the Early Development Network? It does not have to be a family member or parent - just anyone who has questions or concerns about a child!
(We suggest speaking to the parent/guardian of the child before making a referral, the service coordinator will tell the child's caregiver where the referral came from when following up with the referral.)
There are many reasons someone may make a referral for a child! They could be worried about a possible missed milestone, wondering what their child should be doing at their stage in development, concerned about a possible delay in development, needing services for a child with a medical condition or physical disability, or simply wanting their child to be evaluated to be sure they are where they are supposed to be developmentally! (and many, many other reasons!)
If you want to make a referral there are several different ways. Call ESU13 at 308-254-4677 and ask for EDN, email [email protected], send a message to this page, or visit our website at https://www.esu13.org/vnews/display.v/ART/5e18ba550e5f4 and click the "make a referral" link!
If you have any questions feel free to use any of these sources to speak to a service coordinator today!

The Early Development Network (EDN) provides early intervention for families with children birth to age three who have developmental delays and/or healthcare needs.  ESU 13’s Service Coordinators  connect families to needed services  in their home counties of  Scottsbluff , Banner, Kimball,...
