🌱 Leadership Week at Little Saplings Childcare! 🌱
What an incredible week we had! I couldn’t be prouder of these amazing kids and the growth they showed.
This week we introduced a new Leader of the day program, and together we talked about what it truly means to be a leader. The children came up with wonderful examples like being kind, helping others, including friends, solving problems, using respectful words, staying positive, celebrating others, and making good choices—even when things don’t go our way.
Each morning we reflected on the previous day and shared examples of leadership we noticed. It was so special to hear the children recognize not only their own acts of leadership, but also the leadership they saw in their friends. Those conversations quickly became one of my favorite parts of our day.
I also want to give a special shout-out to our older children. We recently welcomed some younger friends into our Little Saplings family, and while that can be a big adjustment, they have been doing an amazing job learning how to be patient, inclusive, and positive role models. They are helping show our youngest children what it means to be part of the Little Saplings family and are setting a wonderful example for our future Little Saplings leaders. 💚
Congratulations to this week’s Leaders! 🎉 You demonstrated what it means to help make Little Saplings a kind, safe, and respectful place.
One of the most important lessons we learned this week is that leaders are not perfect. Leaders make mistakes too—they take responsibility, learn from them, and keep trying.
If your child wasn’t chosen this week, don’t worry! Every child has the opportunity to become a leader. Every new day brings a new chance to show kindness, responsibility, respect, encouragement, problem-solving, and leadership. I can’t wait to see all the wonderful examples our Little Saplings continue to show in the weeks ahead! 🌱❤️
