Everyone is invited to join MCC's Lifelong Learners on Wednesday, October 21, for a special tribute performance by Mike Fornes at the Greenville High School Performing Arts Center.

Through music, stories and humor, Fornes brings Lightfoot's timeless songs to life, celebrating the music that captivated audiences throughout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

We're shining a spotlight on our Information Technology programs for Cybersecurity Awareness Month!

Technology is constantly evolving, and MCC's IT programs are designed to help students build the skills needed to keep pace with a rapidly changing industry. Through certificates, job trainings, associate degrees, and transfer pathways, students can pursue an educational path that aligns with their goals.

For Steve Schofield, IT Program Coordinator, success in the field goes beyond technical knowledge.

“When students are here, I want them to learn troubleshooting, automation, and scripting. When they transition into the workforce, I want them to have grit, persistence, and passion.”

From cybersecurity and networking to infrastructure management and technical support, MCC's IT programs help students develop both the technical and professional skills needed to succeed in a field built on problem-solving and lifelong learning.

Join us this Friday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on our Greenville campus for "Our Journey on the Appalachian Trail."

Matthew and Megan Bidwell will share their experience hiking 1,300 miles of the Appalachian Trail over five months, despite having little hiking experience before they started. Through stories and an audio visual presentation, they’ll give attendees a closer look at what the journey was really like.

This Lifelong Learners event will be held in room G129 of the Ash TLC Building.

Registration is not required. Admission is $5 and can be paid in cash at the door.

The housing application for the Spring 2027 semester is open for eligible students! 🏡

If you’ve been accepted to MCC, plan to maintain full-time enrollment, and are 18 or will turn 18 during your first semester living on campus, you can apply.

This part-time position provides technology support to MCC students and staff, helping with everyday software and hardware needs across the college. We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping others, has basic computer knowledge, and is ready to learn and take on new challenges.

✅ 25 hours per week
✅ $21.25–$22.39 per hour, based on experience
