Dear Parents and Guardians

Our school community is grieving the tragic loss of a student, LaJames Scott, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this very difficult time. In respect and support to the family, all Catahoula Parish Schools and the School Board Office will be closed on Friday, October 3, 2025. This closure will allow our students, staff, and community to honor the memory of LaJames and support one another in healing.
We know this loss may be especially difficult for children to understand. If you feel your child needs additional support, please reach out to your school administrator and we will assist in any way we can. We appreciate your understanding and compassion as we walk through this time of mourning together. Thank you for keeping this family, and our school community, in your thoughts and prayers.
