The Pioneer Longrifles had a full weekend at Indian Cave State Park. We were joined by some of the members from the Rock Creek Renegades gun club. Everyone had fun with some friendly competition. And a big Thank You to their members who helped with demonstrations. We have been invited to try out their range in October. We had quite a few spectators who watched and tried shooting. Several of the kids hit the target too. Our bake sale did well thanks to all of our members who bake. The goodies never disappoint. And there wasn’t much leftover from the potluck Taco Bar. Our next shoot is Labor Day weekend. We’ll be shooting competition targets. That Saturday night we will put on the fireworks show behind the park museum. If you can help with the fireworks show it would be greatly appreciated. Come early get a good spot to watch.

Last meeting it was voted to haveTacos for potluck the list of sign ups is as follows

Ann & Brad--meat and refried beans

Kevin & Jill --shells and cheese

Joan--lettuce and sour cream

John--fried potatoes

Chuck--pineapple upside down cake

Shayne--Applesauce cake

Don't forget to bring bake sale items.

For our Pot Luck dinner Saturday night, July 4th, Kevin and Jill will be bringing hotdogs, brats, ketchup and mustard. Brad and Ann will bring sauerkraut and a side dish. We will still need buns , any other condiments you might want , and side dishes. Hope to see you there.

We had lots of goodies at our bakery sale today. There’s still some left so stop by tomorrow 9:00-1:00. What do baked goods have to do with muzzle loading? The money we make from the bake sale pays for our insurance and the fireworks display we do Labor Day weekend.

We had a nice family from Minnesota visit with us today. The little guy was pretty proud that he tried something new and liked it. Big sister popped a balloon target, not an easy feat. Glad they paid us a visit.

NEWSLETTER

Yeah we didn't have back to back shoots this year for Memorial day and June. The shoot this weekend will be (June6&7) will be a blanket shoot, theme fi****ms related prizes.

At the last meeting it was decided that this shoot for potluck we will have grilled hamburgers donated by Brad and Ann Phillips. So everyone else is to bring chips, salads, baked beans or dessert.

Outdoor Adventure Day went well. We had a steady stream of visitors of all ages that came to shoot and our bake sale sold lots of goodies. And the weather was perfect. Our next shoot will be this coming weekend, May 2nd and 3rd. Hope to see you there!
