he education of her own child, our founder, Gauri felt that the fundamentals of Elementary Education were a little different than what she expected, and grew up with. Born and brought up in India, she decided to educate herself on what the system here had to offer. In the process, she realized that she could herself be an instrument in building the right foundation in Math and Science by supplementing what was already available to the kids and thereby getting the best of both worlds. It started of as home based tutoring program, gradually became a homework help program and eventually diversified into SAT test prep and such. Once the number of students increased, she bought a building of her own to establish a center which now offers much beyond traditional academics. ATFS Learning Center is conveniently located off Rt 20 in Shrewsbury, MA. For 16 years children utilized it as a homework help space during after school hours. They completed their homework in a supervised setting and completed the ATFS curriculum before they chose an activity of their choice. Besides providing a fun learning environment for the Elementary and Middle school children, for many years ATFS trained its High School students for the SAT tests and other competitions. ATFS students have made it into IVY league colleges such as MIT and Carnegie Mellon. The ATFS facility itself was utilized by many cultural and training schools in the area to train kids and adults during off hours. In short ATFS dared to step into the Education field many years ago when tutoring was not an accepted culture and franchise giants had already captured the market, but with passion, dedication and extreme devotion, Gauri managed to make her dream come true while providing a unique service to the community. ATFS finally closed its academic programs including homework help, private tutoring and SAT test prep in 2017 when Gauri transitioned out into a new line of business, ATFS Marketing Services.
