Southern University at Shreveport Metro Campus will reopen on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 8 AM. All classes will resume in person.

Metro Campus faculty and staff are to report to work at their normally scheduled times.

Southern University at Shreveport Metro Campus will have a delayed start today, June 16, 2026, due to a power outage caused by an electrical fire in the area. At this time, we anticipate campus will open at 11 am.

Metro Campus faculty and staff only will work remotely until 11am. Essential employees are required to report to work at your normal report time.
