Maker Faires are a hands-on approach to getting the community interested in STEM/STEAM while having fun. Sci-Port will partner with Shreve Memorial Library, the R.W. Norton Art Gallery, and Centenary College of Louisiana to host the Second Annual Shreveport Mini Maker Faire. Maker Faires are licensed by Maker Faire Global and are part of the Do-it-yourself (DIY) and Do-it-with-others (DIWO) Maker

We're inviting you all to submit to our "We've Got Your BAC" Open Artist Call this week and help us decorate our new walls for our upcoming May 5th Ribbon Cutting!
The Bossier Arts Council is excited to begin the next chapter of our story by inviting local artists to help bring our new gallery space to life. If you’ve supported our mission and believe in the power of the arts in our community, we would love for you to be part of filling our new blank walls with color.
We’re looking for artwork you already have and love, not asking anyone to create something new. If you have pieces from previous shows with us, favorite works from your collection, pieces you haven't yet sold privately, or artwork that deserves to be seen again, we would love to display it in our new gallery space.
All artwork will be featured for our Grand Opening on May 5th, 2026, and will remain on display through June 1st.
Artwork drop-off deadline is Thursday, April 30th by 5:00 PM. Drop off location will be provided.
Let’s fill these walls with creativity, community, and the incredible talent that makes our community shine. Thank you for your continued support of our mission. We would not be the BAC without YOU, the artists!
