Dr. Daniel Flowers, Chair of the Physical Therapy Department, recently graduated from his Fellowship in Higher Education Leadership, and is now a Board Certified Fellow of Higher Education Leadership. This is a year-long, intensive investment in leadership skill development and mentoring for academic leadership roles. The fellowship is accredited by ABPTRFE and sponsored by the APTA Academy of Education.

🎉 Meet our newest PT Faculty, Dr. Darla Cathcart!

Dr. Cathcart brings expertise in pelvic and women's health physical therapy, with a career spanning private practice ownership, clinical instruction, and faculty roles at multiple DPT programs. She holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences (Neuroscience Track) and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pelvic and Women's Health PT. She's served in national leadership roles for APTA-Pelvic Health, including President and Vice President, and recently co-authored a textbook on women's pelvic, perinatal, and reproductive health. Her research focuses on female sexual, pelvic, and peripartum health.

We're excited to welcome her to the LSU Health Shreveport family!
