The LSUS Staff Senate would like to thank everyone who attended our 2026 Spring Luncheon on May 8th! Between the trivia, Ultimate Baseball Fan costume contest, and the very entertaining bubble-blowing competition, the event was truly a “Home Run”!
We would also like to extend a special thank-you to Chancellor Bob Smith, the LSUS Foundation, Port Grille Catering, LSUS IT Services, LSUS Events Management, and our generous door prize donors for helping make this event possible

Yesterday, the LSUS Staff Senate proudly hosted the Annual Professional Development Mini-Conference, focused on “Communication and Collaboration”.
Thank you to our presenters for sharing their expertise and to everyone who attended - your participation made the event a great success!

The LSUS Staff Senate Professional Development Mini-Conference will be held on Tuesday, April 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the University Center. This year’s theme, “Communication and Collaboration”, focuses on building, navigating, and fostering positive professional relationships.
The registration link went out to all LSUS staff via email on 4/10.
*Seating is limited, so register early. Registration will close on April 22 at 4:30 p.m., or once capacity has been reached. A light lunch will be provided.

The LSUS Staff Senate invites you to the 2026 Homecoming Tailgate on February 12 at the University Center (1st floor) from 4:00–5:30 p.m.
Come out for an afternoon of food, games, prizes, and festive fun before the big game! Test your luck at King Cake Bingo or challenge friends with inflatable axe throwing or basketball, co****le, and Giant Jenga!
Come hungry—we’ve got you covered! Jambalaya will be generously provided by the Southwest Shreveport Rotary Club before the game.
Don’t forget to wear your gold threads as we “Gold Out the Game” and blind the opposing team with our shiny school spirit!
