The LSUS Staff Senate was formed in January 1994 to advise university leadership, strengthen communication, and advocate for staff needs. Made up of elected representatives from all campus staff groups, we hold open monthly meetings and lead programs that support professional growth, community, and staff well-being.

The 2026 Staff Senate Ice Cream Social was a hit! 🍨 It was great to see so many LSUS community members come together to beat the heat and have a sweet treat! Congrats to our BINGO winners! Many thanks to all those who supported this year's event! We couldn't have done this without you!

The LSUS Staff Senate would like to thank everyone who attended our 2026 Spring Luncheon on May 8th! Between the trivia, Ultimate Baseball Fan costume contest, and the very entertaining bubble-blowing competition, the event was truly a “Home Run”!

The LSUS Staff Senate Professional Development Mini-Conference will be held on Tuesday, April 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the University Center. This year’s theme, “Communication and Collaboration”, focuses on building, navigating, and fostering positive professional relationships.
The registration link went out to all LSUS staff via email on 4/10.
*Seating is limited, so register early. Registration will close on April 22 at 4:30 p.m., or once capacity has been reached. A light lunch will be provided.
