The Neurology Department celebrated its annual in-house wellness event this Thursday, and it was bigger and better than ever! With mindbending Neuro-Pictionary to kick things off leading into different games and activities in the gym and culminating in a spontaneous volleyball game, it was certainly an afternoon well spent! Major props to program leadership and coordinators, as well as the Resident Wellness Committee, in pulling this off! Also a massive thanks to for all their help and in making this event truly spectacular

So great to see the LSU Health Shreveport representation at the 2026 International Stroke Conference! Our team was present at the forefront of cutting-edge stroke research for 3 amazing days in New Orleans. Comprised of our ambitious PGY2 resident , NeuroIR fellow , faculty members and Dr. Lin, and stroke coordinator Amy, plus with a reunion of former LSUHS alumni and Dr. Sharma!

The LSU Neurology department threw a special Thanksgiving potluck dinner, organized by our incredible Wellness Committee! A great occasion for our faculty, staff, and trainees to get together and enjoy in some levity during the holiday season.

This was also a very special occasion as we bid farewell to our incredible program administrator Darian. She has been a truly monumental presence in our department and will be dearly missed, we wish her all the best for her future endeavors!

Our very own PGY-2, , presented his poster at in Baltimore! 🧠 His work on transitioning from Alteplase to Tenecteplase in acute ischemic stroke, done in collaboration with Abu Bakar Ayub, Junaid Khalid, and Abdurrehman Sheikh, highlights the exciting research coming out of LSUHS Neurology.
