We were delighted to have Eric Bates performing for our students yesterday!
Eric Bates is the Second Assistant Concertmaster of Cincinnati Symphony. He started violin at age 6 in the CSS during its second year of existence where he was a student of Laura Crawford’s for 12 years before going to the Cincinnati Conservatory. Eric’s mother drove 1 hour from Ringgold LA twice a week for lessons. Eric was a role model for a decade for CSS students. He won a position in Cincinnati Symphony at the age of only 23 in a blind audition with about 150 other violinists and has soloed with Cincinnati Symphony as well as Shreveport Symphony.
