Ascension Classical School of Shreveport

The 6th, 7th and 8th graders put on their poodle skirts, loafers, and leather jackets and twisted and shouted to ‘50s tunes at the dance. The students tried line dances, swing dances and folk dances! They also enjoyed sliders and hot dogs and ordered floats from the soda shop 🍨🥤We enjoyed seeing everyone dressed to impress and bringing the spirit of the 1950’s to life. What a fun night!

We appreciate all the parents who organized the dance and chaperoned! A special thanks to Lauren Lash and Katie Mook for teaching the dances and leading the students.

🪩💛 Protocol Ball “A Night in Paris” was a wonderful evening for our Rhetoric Students to enjoy a night of fine dining and ballroom dancing at the Carthage Building in Provenance. The evening was filled with FUN and laughter as well as valuable lessons in etiquette. Thank you to our wonderful Rhetoric parents for planning the evening.

On Thursday, our students participated in Flowering the Cross during chapel, each flower representing new life in Christ because of his resurrection!

History came to life for our 8th graders on their Louisiana field trip! So proud of these students for the way they represented our school while discovering the stories that shaped our state. ❤️⚜️

🏺✨ Our 2nd graders stepped back into Ancient Egypt and did an amazing job bringing the past to the present. From creative costumes to hands-on activities, these young historians built pyramids,tried their hand at hieroglyphics and enjoyed a meal! 👑📜

We are so proud of their creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm—what a fun and memorable Living History Day! 💛

✨🌙 Starry Night Carnival 🌙✨

It was a night full of fun, games, and unforgettable memories! 🎡🎯 From bounce houses and bull riding to a chili cook off and cake walk, laughter was around every corner. There was something for everyone to enjoy!

The Rhetoric Snowflake Soirée was an opportunity for our students to put into practice skills they learned in protocol class. Formal dinner followed by relaxed bowling fun, reinforced that good manners are important in all settings!
