Top Readers for 100 Million Word Reading Challenge
Attention Gators! The buzzer has officially sounded on the most legendary reading season in our school’s history. We didn't just hit our 100-million-word target—we left it in the dust with a final scoreboard of 104,516,529 words at the end of April!
It’s time to recognize the heavy hitters who carried the team to this record-breaking victory. These readers didn't just turn pages; they dominated the "court" all year long.
In The 100 Million Ring of Honor are the Student MVPs who crushed the competition and led the league in points:
#1 - Kourtnei Edwards who read 5,998,672 words!
#2 - Chameer Jones who read 5,556,875 words !!
#3 - Victoria Garrett who read 4,127,794 words!!
To every Gator who finished a book this year: you helped us cut down the nets. We started with a goal, and we finished as champions. Take a look at Canvas for the Top 20 Student and Faculty Readers for the Year! Enjoy the victory lap, Gators—you’ve earned it!

THE BUZZER HAS SOUNDED, AND THE CROWD IS GOING WILD! 🏀🏆🎉
We didn't just hit the buzzer-beater; we blew the backboard off! Even with the "full-court press" of state testing, April was our highest-scoring month of the entire year. You didn't just meet the goal—you crushed it.
Our final scoreboard reads: 104,516,529 WORDS! In April alone, you put up a "triple-double" performance, reading over 18 million words to secure the championship. It’s time to cut down the nets and celebrate our Reading All-Stars who led the way in this historic final quarter:
