Today is the last day to give to the 2021-22 Annual Fund! We are so close to meeting our goal.

The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all giving to Loyola that allows us to fulfill our mission year after year. Each gift to the Annual Fund helps fill the gap between the actual cost of tuition at Loyola and what we currently charge by providing resources for academic, technological and athletic support.

Make sure you give today to ensure the Flyer legacy continues. Donations made through June 30 will be included in our 2021-22 Annual Report. Give today by clicking the link below 👇

Meet Cade Thaxton, one of our newest Flyers! Cade knew he wanted to attend Loyola as a kid when he spent Friday nights attending the Flyers football games at Mesmer Stadium. Cade enjoys working out and playing Basketball. This summer Cade will join his Dad and brother on a 62 mile high adventure canoe trek through the western side of the Atchafalaya Swamp with Scouts. Cade will then attend IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida for Basketball Camp. Cade also plans to take trips to the beach, wakeboard on the weekend and visit family in Michigan and Canada this summer.

Welcome to Loyola, Cade! We can’t wait to welcome all of our incoming freshmen this Fall! 🎉

Please help us in thanking F.Ai.T.H.’s generous Santa Claus sponsor the McIntyre Family. This year F.Ai.T.H. is dedicated in loving memory of Jan McIntyre. Jan was a beloved teacher whose dedication to her students, Loyola, and service to all helped make F.Ai.T.H. what it is today.

“Sponsoring FAITH is a privilege and we are so grateful to the Loyola community for their love and support. Keeping the work and memory of our mother is so important and sharing in a project that she loved is our honor.” Mrs. Brandy McIntyre, Jan’s daughter-in-law.

Our Story

Loyola College Preparatory School offers a faith-based high school experience grounded in Catholicism and growing students in conscience, character and compassion. The Loyola experience provides opportunities for students to evolve in academic excellence, faith in action and student involvement.

It is located in an urban setting and surrounded by hospitals, churches, a cathedral and a Catholic middle and elementary school. Its students, both Catholic and non-Catholic, come together from many different middle schools in the Shreveport-Bossier City metropolitan area.

As part of providing quality education, Loyola began 1-1 iPad learning in 2012 to ensure students are technologically proficient in a constantly evolving society. Nearly half of the faculty has earned a master's degree or above as well as served in positions varying from newspaper editor to attorney.

Students of all faith backgrounds join as a student body for weekly mass at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans just footsteps away from the campus. Of the 35 student organizations available at Loyola, there are countless opportunities to serve the community and show the love of Jesus Christ.
