Tune in to TBN April 23rd at 8:00 pm Eastern 7:00 pm Central for Giv. Mike Huckabee's show with guests James Burton and Joe Chambers.
🥁 RONNIE TUTT 🥁
We are in shock 😭 💔.
Top of the list drummer, amazing work with any top recording artists and live shows.
The James Burton and Friends show in Nashville, to our knowledge, was the last show that Ronnie played and it was truly an honor to have him give of his talents to the James Burton Foundation to give guitars to kids and vets. His playing on this show was INCREDIBLE. ⚡️TCB⚡️
Playing together over the years was so much fun, it was like a hand in a glove. We knew exactly how to play off each other.
You bet I will always miss him!!! 🥁🎸
The wonderful thing is that we know for sure Ronnie is in heaven with God and his family, Elvis and friends.
What a joy for his family to have this knowledge and we love all of them so much. 🙏✝️😇

It’s so hard to believe it’s been 43 years today since we buried my friend, Elvis.
What a heart-wrenching three days we had that August in 1977.
I’ll never forget flying out of L.A to Las Vegas that morning of the 16th, then we headed out from Vegas to our first show in Maine
when we got word to turn around.
None of us knew why.
We stopped to refuel in Colorado to head back to Las Vegas when we heard the news that Elvis had passed.
My first question was, “Is this a joke?”
Unfortunately….it wasn’t.
My wife Louise and I immediately met up in Memphis to go to Graceland to check on Elvis’ Dad, Vernon. As you can imagine, he was just heart broken.
On August 18th, they held a private service for Elvis’ family and close friends.
We could hardly talk to each other, we were in so much shock.
So many people that loved him showed up.
James Brown spent hours in there with Elvis, as did so many others.
Louise and I sat there with Vernon and did our best to comfort him.
We loved that man.
Thousands of fans lined the streets of Memphis on the day of the funeral to say goodbye to the king.
Thousands! We had never seen anything like it, man.
Royalty had never seen anything like it.
We were honored to ride in the third or fourth white limo in the procession that day and were amazed at all the love people showed and how people came together in such a short amount of time to honor him from all over hthe world.
Elvis constantly gave to those around him and that was such an inspiration.
Yes, he was a legend….but Elvis was also my friend.
His talent, style, sense of humor and ‘in the middle of the night’ phone calls just to talk.
He is dearly missed, and I know he’s in Heaven singing and playing with my Son, Jeffrey…
and I’m looking forward to seeing them both again someday and we’ll all jam together.
We want to thank the fan clubs and websites, Priscilla, Lisa Marie, Jack Soden, Graceland, the EPE family and Joel Weinshanker for all of the hard work in keeping Elvis’ legacy alive and we love the fans and friends who loved Elvis as much as we do.
Make each day count and love one another!
GOD BLESS YOU!
James

As we approach a new decade, we reflect upon all of the good the James Burton Foundation has been able to do…thanks to those like YOU who have donated their money, time and efforts and whom truly care about the difference music can make in someone’s life.
As you know, many schools programs nationwide have lost their funding and now simply cannot meet their needs.
With your help, what a joy it is to be able to get music back in the schools, helping to increase these children’s focus, improving grades and self confidence. This is the power of a musical instrument.
Think of the child in the hospital, who’s recovery is one of the greatest struggles they will ever face, with the gift of a new guitar, which brings happiness in a time of need.
This is the power of a musical instrument.
Consider the soldier, who has served our country, and who’s efforts have kept our families safe.
Many of which have seen combat and are suffering with P.T.S.D.
A guitar has been refuge for many and a beautiful addition to their therapy.
This is the power of a musical instrument.
We also want to take a moment to honor Jeffrey Burton, who went to Heaven earlier this year.
His selfless dedication in volunteering his services was so important in developing the foundation and moving it forward to where it is today.
Jeff produced and performed in all of the fundraising shows the foundation has put on.
His love for music and helping others is greatly missed.
As we begin a new year and decade, the James Burton Foundation thanks you for your continued support in changing lives through music.
May 2020 be the most blessed year yet!
Just think it up, then go do it.

Packed theater for James Burton’s Rockin’ Louisiana Christmas Show last night.
Sonny Landreth was a late addition and ‘wowed’ the crowd with his guitar work and Marty Haggard was the surprise guest. All the artists were absolutely fantastic.
Guitars were given to veterans and a local high school and more money was raised for more guitars.
Thanks for supporting the James Burton Foundation.
