Traveling changes how you see the world, but the people you travel with change how you experience it.
When you navigate a new place together—drinking w**e made from unfamiliar grape varieties, dining alfresco underneath the sky of an ancient town, threading the needle on narrow cobblestone streets—you build a shorthand with someone that normal day-to-day life just doesn't create.
It was so good to reconnect with the Piemonte Divas last night. Two months after our trip, we instantly dove back into inside jokes and shared stories. Here’s to the people who make the miles feel short and the memories last forever. Thank you, Shelly Taylor, for the hospitality and the beautiful sunset. Beth Baptist we sure did miss you.

Beef Bourguignon with a Premier Cru Burgundy. Thank you Shelly for gracing us with such a beautiful w**e and thank you, Laurie, for taking us to France with your culinary skills. Now to that w**e. This 2017 vintage could have been held longer but in my opinion, it was at its prime drinking stage. I think everyone at the table will agree. On the nose, aromas of violets and red roses in bloom, along with red fruit of cherry, raspberry and cranberry, wafted from the bowl of the glass. On the palate, cherry aided the transition from red to black fruit. Savory notes of forest floor, mushroom, and a hint of smoke helped accentuate the approachable complexity of this Beaune w**e. The w**e had the characteristic acidity and understated tannins that make Burgundy one of the finest regions of the world. Want to travel to Burgundy? Give us a call, we can make it happen.

That Sunday morning when you’ve been away from one another for a few days and are now back home together. Believe me, it is worth celebrating! We are drinking Taittinger ch*****ne preserved with a stopper from our favorite Gavi producer, IL POGGIO. We’ll be going back to Gavi in 2027 and we would love to introduce you to the formidable and gregarious mother/daughter team of Francesca and Giorgia Poggio. We love them!
