Our community’s generosity continues to encourage and inspire us. Today, Dollar Mania/Furniture Express donated complete uniform sets for 250 of our most needy students. The sets include shirts, pants, a belt and a N-95 mask. This great community partner also announced N-95 masks would be available at no cost to any district employee who shows their ID while supplies last. Thank you to Dollar Mania and to Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins for all of your efforts to make this donation a reality. #wearecaddo #caddostrongstart #roadmaptoreopening #caddocares

Caddo Strong Start campaign ft. Dr. Martha Whyte

With two weeks left until the start of school, Dr. Martha Whyte, our Regional Director for Louisiana Public Health is helping us kick off our community support campaign. We want to encourage everyone to do their part to ensure that our community and schools are a safe place! #WeAreCaddo

The Caddo Schools Transformation Zone has received loads of school supplies for years thanks to the generous efforts and volunteers of United Way of Northwest Louisiana. This year the processing of collecting looks different. Rather than actually "filling a bus" the campaign for students is completely online. Please share with others you know who may want to donate supplies to our students. #WeAreCaddo

Despite these challenging times, students still need access to the basic tools needed for success. It is our mission to provide them with these tools while making safety a priority!

Due to social distancing restrictions, we are unable to hold our annual Fill-The-Bus events with Wal-Mart this summer. At these events, United Way volunteers encourage shoppers to purchase essential school supplies for local students.

You can still make a difference by purchasing supplies online through our Fill The Bus registry at https://unitedwaynwla.org/fillthebus-registry/
