Jackets, in the pictures below you will find classes with Google Classroom codes. Some offerings have Remind information. Our expectation is that learning will continue to take place this week via those online platforms, whether it’s Google Classroom or TurnItIn. Teachers who are not listed will have a Google Classroom soon. We will make those classes and codes available as we soon as they are set up. If you have questions, feel free to email your teacher. We appreciate the fast and furious work of our teachers and staff over the last few days. Jacket Pride is alive and well!Students and parents, thank you so much for your patience and flexibility during this time. Class of 2020, we are heart broken that your senior year has been interrupted by this crisis. We know you have questions about prom and graduation. Unfortunately, those things are out of our control right now. No matter what happens in the coming weeks, we will not let this crisis diminish the incredible contributions of the Class of 2020 at The City of Byrd. πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸπŸ’œπŸ’›#AlwaysDeepWithinOurHearts

Recording #1

Tomorrow in the Byrd Blast you will receive instructions for how your child will begin online learning for CE Byrd. This is an example from one of our teachers (Shared by Mr. Badgley) and will give you some insight into how teachers will be monitoring learning and continuing as best they can to provide instruction to your child.

This will be difficult for all of us. Please be patient and expect your student to be, at times, frustrated. Please reassure them that everyone is trying to adapt to something different.

Please check the Byrd Blast tomorrow.

[12/13/19]   Statement regarding the incident from Community Christmas:

We as a C. E. Byrd family take very seriously the concerning social media post which has been shared in recent days following one of our holiday events. While we are not permitted to speak to individual student discipline, appropriate and swift action was taken to address the issue and a thorough investigation was conducted. The student’s post was not representative of what we stand for at Byrd and does not align with the character expected of the students and staff of C. E. Byrd. Diversity is one of the defining hallmarks of C. E. Byrd High School, and we will not allow any such repugnant comments to define the incredible individuals who comprise this school.

It's always nice to see our students in the community. Tonight the CE Byrd choir performed at Noel Methodist. Word on the street - their four songs were beautiful!
