The City of Lake Charles is creating a "Women Who Served" exhibit for Veterans Day and is accepting applications from any women who served or are currently serving in the military. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 11.

The City of Lake Charles is seeking submissions for an exhibit honoring women veterans at Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center in conjunction with the city's 2024 Veterans Day celebration.
The new exhibit, titled “Women Who Served,” will open on Friday, Nov. 1. Any woman who has served, or who is currently serving in our nation’s military, may submit an application to be included in the exhibit. Families are also encouraged to submit on behalf of their loved ones. Submissions can include biographies, then and now photographs and artifacts from the individual’s time of service.
The submission deadline is Friday, Oct. 11. For more information, contact Director of Cultural Affairs Payton Dodds at [email protected] or 337.491.9159.
