Alumni shoutout!

Congratulations to alum Ryan Goodwin '06 for his recent achievement of raising $3,700 for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP)! Ryan has been very active with the RunDisney community, having done 2 marathons as part of the D***y Challenge in 2024 and 2025, and is now preparing to run for AFSP in the 2026 Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 11. AFSP means a great deal to him and many other members of our Centenary community, so we are very proud to share his accomplishment with you.

Congratulations, Ryan Goodwin, and good luck on the Chicago Marathon!

Last week, we sent out our first "𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲" mailer, an initiative to encourage support for our annual fund, which maintains the quality education and community that our students deserve. In that mailer, there were seed packets that contained SEEDS — a gesture that we hope alludes to the good work we do at Centenary to help our students grow into themselves and then venture out into the world. To those who received our mailer, we'd love to hear if and how you plan to plant your seeds! Make sure to send us a message or tag us in a post.

Join the Centenary Muses and Jefferson Hendricks for their 2026 Fall Study Series, “Short Stories by Nathaniel Hawthorne”, in which Hawthorne's stories will be explored for their insight on the "shadowed heart of early America, where Puritan ideals, democratic promise, private desire, and collective guilt are intertwined." The study series will take place on four consecutive Tuesdays starting with Tuesday, October 13. Registration is $40.
