Let's congratulate this week's Caught you Caring recipients! Junior Shabd Warar, Freshman Brynlee Wright, and Paraprofessional Mr. Rick Stovall!

Shabd stayed after school to clean up a water mess near the fountain. When asked what he was doing, he simply responded, " I'm just cleaning this up, it needs to be done and someone has to do it." What a great example of taking initiative and caring for our school!

Brynlee showed compassion and support by helping a fellow student get to the office during a medical situation. Her willingness to step in and help when someone needed it most is what caring is all about.

Mr. Stovall demonstrated kindness and dedication by stepping in to help us with car duty in the triple-digit heat. We truly appreciate him going above and beyond to support our WeCare school!

This past summer, senior Michael Nix participated in a research program at LSU.

The director of the program had this to say about him:

On behalf of the High School Summer Research (HSSR) Program and the LSU College of Engineering, I am pleased to share and recognize the outstanding accomplishment of Michael Nix, who successfully completed our HSSR Program this summer. Throughout the program, Michael demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative, perseverance, and a genuine commitment to engaging in research at the collegiate level. The experience challenged him to learn beyond the traditional classroom, contribute meaningfully to a research environment, work through complex challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of engineering and research. We are incredibly proud of Michael for the dedication and effort demonstrated throughout the program and believe this experience represents a significant and well-deserved academic achievement.

Great job, Michael!
