Happy St. Nicholas Day… SJS had a special visitor today on campus!!! Look at the sweet faces of pure excitement on K3 faces 🥰 Merry Christmas!!!
Gracious God,
In the spirit of Saint Nicholas we turn to you and ask for your blessing on these candy canes.
May their flavor sweeten our hearts with compassion and kindness.
May their shape remind us to be shepherds of grace and generosity.
May their bright colors attune us to the delightful sights and sounds of this sacred season.
Inspire us to be like Saint Nicholas, who brought comfort and joy to children and their families.
We ask this in the name of the Holy Child, Jesus, whose coming we await with anticipation and love.
Amen.

Let us begin the season of Advent with great expectation for the celebration of the coming of the Messiah.

Did you know St. Joseph has an amazing 4-H program? Our 4-H students recently went on a field trip to Common Ground where they toured the facility, including the chapel and food pantry, and helped set up for Common Ground's community meal. After that, they went to AgMagic at the State Fair grounds and learned all about agriculture - touring the livestock barn then getting to see a cow show, magic show, lumberjack show, and the circus! That's a lot for one day!
