We may be wrapping up our second week of school, but this was too cute not to share! After reading the book First Day Jitters, Ms. Crim and her 3rd grade crew drank “jitter juice.” What a fun way to ease first-day jitters and remind our students that first-day jitters are completely normal!

Our students aren't just attending Mass; they're actively participating through prayer and song. The St. Cecilia Award is a weekly St. Joseph tradition recognizing the grade that shows outstanding participation in song during Mass. Named for St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music and musicians, this tradition reminds our students that their voices are an important part of our worship.
Congratulations to this week's St. Cecilia Award winners, 4th grade! And we can't forget to recognize the first St. Cecilia Award winners of the school year, 7th grade!

The blessing of classrooms is a very special St. Joseph tradition to begin the school year. Father Jerry visited every classroom, along with the gym, library, and teacher's lounge, offering a special blessing over each space and the students and teachers who fill them. The sprinkling of holy water always brings smiles to our students' faces. May God bless our classrooms, our teachers and staff, and every student throughout the year ahead.

Our littlest Falcons had a BIG first week! K3 and K4 spent their first week getting to know their teachers and discovering their classrooms. New routines, fun learning, and some well-earned naps along the way!

The first week of school is officially in the books! There's something special about seeing familiar faces returning to the classroom and watching the excitement of a new year unfold. Our 2nd graders jumped right back into the rhythm of school last week full of smiles and lots of fun! It's going to be a great year for these Falcons!

Our first school Mass of the year brought together a full church of students, families, faculty, and parishioners as we gathered in prayer and placed this new year in God’s hands.
As we begin our 75th year at St. Joseph Catholic School, we’re grateful for the generations who have made this community what it is—and excited for all that God has in store for this year.
