Emile and Beth Geneux have 4 daughters that attend SJS and 2 of them graduating this year. Dr. Emile Geneux, DDS, is an alumnus of St. Joseph and attended like his daughters from Kindergarten through 8th grade. He has enjoyed being one of the girls basketball team coaches. Dr. Beth Geneux, OB/GYN, is from South Louisiana and could not have wished for a better education/faith experience that SJS has provided. The Foret family and University Veterinary Hospital are proud to support SJS. Drs. Adam and Catherine Foret moved to Shreveport with a mission to improve the health care options for small animals in our region and get involved with the community. UVHvets enjoys being the location for the annual SJS Blessing of the Animals every October. Dr. Catherine enjoys teaching the SJS K Village all about caring and loving animals.

Middle school was busy this month with our 8th Grade Social Studies Fair and 7th Grade Science Fair. Congratulations to these students on a job well done!

We were lucky to have seminarians from the Diocese of Shreveport visit our school today. Thank you Nathan, Brett, Alan, and Angel for letting us ask you all sorts of questions and learn what is it like to be in seminary!

Our MiniVinnies love to support the efforts of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, especially this time of year! They stuffed stockings for the children we are collecting toys for this month. It’s always a gift to see these kids in action, loving their neighbor as Jesus calls us to do.

Our 2-night Advent Mission led by international speaker, author, and podcaster Matthew Leonard begins tomorrow night! We hope you will join us as Matthew provides motivation to increase our prayer lives and grow spiritually during this Advent season. Both evenings begin at 6 PM.

Friendsgiving was fun for everyone, K-Village through 8th grade. We have so much to be thankful for at St. Joseph.

A few of our MiniVinnies went to Mary’s House last night to serve dinner to the moms who are attending a weekly program there. A big thank you to Dilla’s for the good food, and to Marcie Moore for allowing us to serve them!

We love when the Flyers come to hang out with our Falcons. Today, Snoopy came to hang out with our little ones and enjoyed an inspired Thanksgiving feast. I think our Falcons will be asking their parents to watch the cartoon tonight.
