Happy Valentine’s Day for us! We hope you all have a wonderful day & we hope to see you on campus for our friends at Student Activities Board at LSUS event today! Which is stuff a plush, paint your heart out & a virtual 5K run!

Our friends over at Student Activities Board at LSUS will be hosting a Shreveport Mobile Market tomorrow during COMMON HOUR! Also, they are dropping information regarding next week's homecoming activities! Go check out their page for all information regarding events that happen on campus!

Our friends Student Activities Board at LSUS is hosting these two events this coming week!

We have tons of radish’s, mini carrots & tomatoes, and lots of greens.
Below is a recipe for garlic roasted radish’s.
Student Activities Board at LSUS

INGREDIENTS
1 lb. fresh radishes, stems removed, ends trimmed, and halved
1 tablespoon melted ghee, butter coconut oil or avocado oil)
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley, dried chives, or dried dill or mix
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
Optional toppings: Ranch dressing for drizzling or garnish of fresh parsley, dill, or chives

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 425℉. In a bowl, combine the radishes, cooking fat (ghee, butter or oil), dried herbs, salt, and pepper; toss until the radishes are evenly coated. (Note: don’t add the minced garlic until step 3).
Spread radishes out in a single layer in a large 9×13 inch baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes. After the first 10 minutes of baking add the minced garlic and toss. Return to oven to bake an additional 10-15 minutes or until radishes are golden brown and easily pierced with a fork.

Felton Parker is somewhat of a student icon on our campus, and the Pilot family loves him dearly. Today, he won a Rev the River Monster doll from the Student Activities Board at LSUS and was absolutely elated!

Please post your suggestions/ ideas/ event ideas and SAB will definitely read them, consider them, and possibly make them into an event. Up until recently, we have had very few suggestions from the Students. Help us plan events that YOU and the other Student would want to come to!

🔌 Campus has power, water, a/c and Wi-Fi. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to utilize campus facilities to safeguard from the heat.
📨 Updates will be emailed to everyone, so check your LSUS email as you can.
☎️ Students should communicate with their professors regarding weekly assignments.
🍔 The Port Grille will be open for breakfast and lunch, should you need to purchase food.

Yesterday we hosted our annual Student Leadership Awards and we are so proud of everyone’s accomplishments! Our student organizations work so hard throughout the academic year in order to provide students with the best experience possible at LSUS.
